FRIENDS FOREVER?
You were the one
The friend I could always count on
Turn to for anything
My crutch
Crying shoulder
We were so much alike
I thought you understood
Could help me
Lift me from my despair
I was wrong
You don't know the real me
Can't comprehend my immense sorrows
The pain
Anger
Through it all came my love
Love for everyone
You didn't get it
Let me down so many times
Weren't there for me when I needed you most
I counted on you
Looked beside me and saw no one
Yet something was there
Someone new who really cared for me
You couldn't accept that
Pushed me away even more
Through the tears you've caused me
I've found a new friend
Right beside me
Helping me through
We'll never leave each other
But you have gone
Good-bye
Leave and discover the compassion I know you possess
I'll see you again someday
But for now
