DESTRUCTION
The wind whispering through the trees
Allowing leaves to dance
To the tune of the birds' melodic songs
Can you hear what it's saying?
What did we do to you?
You are so peaceful, so wonderful
Yet, like everything else, we are destroying you
To make room for our repulsive idea
Of a "better world"
The giant willow
While swaying and dancing
Weeps for lack of companionship
It's leaves lie dead on the ground
And on we go
Demolishing His most glorious creation
Any way we know how
The trees cry out in pain
As they watch their brothers and sisters
Watch them fall
Their peaceful lives cut short
More beauty destroyed
At the hands of men
Why do we do this?
Soon will there be nothing left
But sand, rocks and our shiny "masterpieces"
Yet we keep on killing
The very thing that keeps us alive is dying
And we are the cause
