NO MORE DADDY
The child grows up
There are no more sunsets with Daddy
Catching fireflies
Gazing at the stars
Camping out in the backyard
Those wonderful things
Now just memories
For Daddy is gone
He fought hard, but lost the battle
They said he would live, they were wrong
The child's world was crashing in
No one to help her
No one to save for her
No one to comfort her
She felt her heart painfully tear in two
There was no more Daddy
No more bright, warm smile
Laughter that filled the room
Brought joy to every heart
No more Daddy
