The crash victims are hiding in the woods while the mercenaries show their true colors and start blowing things up.

An interesting scenario by Tom B in 25mm. A VTOL has crashed on a planet undergoing a lot of civil unrest. While under NAC law, the colonists want to break free.

A nearby UN ship is asked to help and initially some power armored troopers make planet fall to search for surviviors and coordinate actions with the NAC. It took a couple turns to find the VTOL survivors only to find they had a news crew among them. Mercenaries arrive, ostensibly hired by the UN, to help. They seem rather nervous but nothing was out of place enough for the UN to merit opening fire. It was later revealed that the merc were local rebels and firing ensued. By that point there was a LOT of mercs packed in in a small area. Word was that in playtests the UN opened fire much earlier. As the UN player, I felt it was my responsibility as a policing action not to start a fire fight based on suspicion.

The levels of political issues added a lot oif interest and was very unique.
