| Malvern Nationals Malvern, IA It started out a great day but I could tell it was going to get very warm, after all it was the 4th of July. I got suited up for practice and went out there. The track was kinda muddy but I felt very comfortable. You should have seen the number of guys that ate it however....they were all over the place. Well I had to get the quad all prepped and washed for my first moto. I got lined up in the middle of the gate, they use a rubber band start though. They showed us the 30-second board and then we were off. At first it seemed as though I had the holeshot in the A class but just then a guy came flying by me on a Laeger TC350X bike. He pulled away and won the first moto, I had second by a few seconds. I got back to the trailer and got my bike all prepped and ready to go in an hour or two. I then headed to the line and ended up actually getting the holeshot and winning the second moto to take the overall for the day. I was pretty happy since this was my first year running this class and I got big A class win. |
