Other Rules and Safety regulations

1. All participants will be required to be a member of a recognized reenactment society such as the HRS Inc. or 20th Century TSG.

2. In the event that you are unable to attend your battle fee will be refunded in full if one weeks notice is given to an event organizer.

3. All participants will be required to sign a waiver of liability.

4. Any person under the age of 16 may participate at the event wearing ONLY civilian period clothing.  Anyone under the age of 16 will be required to have a parent/legal guardian present at all times.

5. There will be a safety inspection at 1800 hours of all equipment, weapons, and ammunition at every event.

6. Under no circumstances will live ammunition be allowed on the premises.  If
ANYONE is found having LIVE AMMUNITION of any kind they will be asked to leave the site immediately.

7. Wood tipped blanks may only be used in semi-automatic and automatic weapons equipped with special blank adapters (wood tip shredders), NEVER IN A BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

8. Unit commanders must be at least 21 years of age and willing to accept responsibility for the members of their squad/unit.

9. Combat in and around buildings will only be allowed in approved structures.  All other building and or structures are completely off limits under any circumstances. 

10. Alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs may not be consumed at any event, in violation of civil laws. Alcoholic beverages are not to be used within an eight (8)hour time period prior to and during the use of weapons.

11. All pyrotechnics must be approved by an event organizer before use at the site

12. No weapon is to be fired directly at anyone closer that fifty- (50) -feet or whenever anyone is close to the muzzle of a rifle. This applies to the persons who are next to you, as well as in front of the muzzle. Watch out for the other persons hearing.

13. No projectile may be fired at less than a forty-five (45) degree angle from the horizontal. Signal flares must be fired at (90) degree angle from horizontal.

14. No one may fix any bayonet to any rifle, except for controlled (posed, staged) photographs.

15. All shoulder weapons must be on safe when a person is loading or unloading from a vehicle and in the field, except when actively engaging a target.

16. Hand to hand combat will only be allowed on a very limited basis, and only if such action has been discussed between the two parties and approved by a MWWWHS event coordinator.

17. All glasses must have safety or shatter-resistant lenses.

18. All participants will be required to wear their combat helmet during ALL SIMULATED COMBAT SITUATIONS.

19. A licensed driver must drive all motor vehicles, regardless of off or on road use. The driver must be knowledgeable of the type of vehicle he is driving. PROPER LIABILITY INSURANCE IS MANDATORY. Any vehicle driven off road MUST HAVE A GROUND GUIDE, to avoid personnel hiding in foliage.

20. Disregard for any of these rules will result in being asked to leave the site IMMEDITLY!
