2 Peter 2:
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
These verses are talking about the tares among the wheat and NOT the "sinners" of the world (the field). These are the people who refuse God's government over their hearts....they have forsaken the right way. They are without excuse because God had given them knowledge of the way and they have known better. They know the judgement of God.
Romans 1:
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
As stated, those that follow after the flesh and resist the Spirit will be given over to their lusts. Those that are filled with all unrighteousness instead of the Spirit will not inherit the kingdom but will be thrown into the lake of fire for punishment for breaking the covenant that God had written on their hearts and minds.
They have changed the truth of God that was given to them into a lie:
(Rom 1:25 KJV) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
And it is said that God sends them a strong delusion that they will believe the lie in order to keep them in darkness until the day of judgement. God delivers the godly out of temptations and reserves the wicked (among the kingdom) for judgement.
2 Peter 2:
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
At the end of the age, there is a separation of the just (the godly) from the wicked among God's people.
(Mat 13:49 KJV) So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
The wicked (the tares...the ones that produce as fruit thorns and briers) are bundled together to be burned as the parable of the wheat and tares shows us. This separation is also shown in the fish and net parable:
Matthew 13:
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
(Mat 25:33 KJV) And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Note the following verses...gather OUT OF HIS KINGDOM:
(Mat 13:41 KJV) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
(Mat 13:42 KJV) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The son of perdition (the goats, the tares, the bad fish) are cut off from God's people and cut off from God's presence (the second death). They are cut off because they have NOT sinned ignorantly...they have trodden the Son of God under their feet,and have counted the blood of the covenant by which they have been santicified as an unholy thing and have insulted the Spirit of grace.
(Num 15:30 KJV) But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
(Num 15:31 KJV) Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
The wicked (who obey not the gospel from the heart..who do not repent) will be severed from the just (that soul shall be cut off from among his people) and their punishment will be the second death (severed from the presence of God).
8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
The wicked grow up with the just until they are revealed for who they really are among us. Paul warned the true church of what would happen after he was gone:
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
These people among the kingdom of heaven have their punishment in the lake of fire because they refuse to repent of their ways:
(Rev 21:8 KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
This is NOT speaking about the billions of "unsaved sinners"....the spiritually "dead" but about the ones that have been shown by God the knowledge of the way and the truth and have done despite knowing. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer:
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
righteousness.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow
The UNBELIEVING have no excuse because God had witnessed to their hearts his knowledge.
(Heb 3:12 KJV) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
The unbelievers (among the people of God) will be condemned to the lake of fire for departing from the living God. It wasn't the egyptians that fell in the desert but the unbelievers among the people of God, the Jews, who did not enter into the promised land. Today if we hear his voice, we are not to harden our hearts.
(Mark 16:16 KJV) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Who are the MURDERERS? They are the ones who hate their brothers in Christ.
(1 John 3:15 KJV) Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye
know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Who are the WHOREMONGERS? They are the ones who depart from the counsel of God and seek their own knowledge. They become friends of the world.
(Hosea 4:12 KJV) My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
(Psa 106:39 KJV) Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
And again, one commits spiritual adultery when one embraces the world instead of seeking God first.
(James 4:4 KJV) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
And it is stated that no IDOLATER will have an inheritance in the kingdom of God.
(Eph 5:5 KJV) For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
From 1 Cor 6:
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Rebellion against God ....rejecting the word of the Lord is as the sin of witchcraft and stubborness to your ways is as idolatry.
(1 Sam 15:23 KJV) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Who are the LIARS? They are the ones who say they know God but deny Him by their actions....they do not keep the commandments of the Spirit but love their own unrighteousness.
(1 John 2:4 KJV) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
This is directed to the people who have received the Spirit and knowledge of God to not live after the flesh which if we do will lead to the second death....to be removed from the kingdom of heaven and God's presence. Jesus has a strong statement concerning those who reject God's government over their hearts and minds:
(Luke 19:27 KJV) But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
