The Summer of 2003, I decided to take my NA supra to new heights by installing a ct-26 turbo in the fashion I dubbed the "1/2Na-T Conversion." Before the 1/2na-t there were basically 2 ways to turbocharge an NA. One way is you take out the NA block and throw in a Turbo block. The other way is by keeping the higher compression NA block and swapping everything else over. That includes all electronics, gauges, computer, ect. ect.
Well what I did, and some others like me, is keep the NA electronics, ignition and such, and just throw a turbo on there. It works rather nicely, and included on this page are some pics of the process and a materials list for the project. |
