Welcome to the homesite for MWPABS! Our goal is to help fundraise for and support the efforts of Arkwild and WHOA (Wild Horse of the Abacos Preservation Society) to help save these endangered wild horses. Abaco Barbs are of spanish descent and the herd is currently registered/cataloged with the HOA (Horse of the Americas) registry. The horses are now on a preserve on Abaco, but there are only 12 remaining, so the situation for this unique breed is very critical. We are just getting organized and hope to have some fundraisers in place by early 2005. We are trying to get a booth together to raise awarness and funds at the 2005 MN Horse Expo. If you would be willing to volunteer for this, please let us know! To make a donation go to the Arkwild site in the link section and follow their instructions, they also have T-shirts, photos, CD's and more that when bought from them 100% of the proceeds (minus shipping) go for the preservation of these horses.
