Wow! Travis Larsen hit a walk-off grand slam. It was locked up 0-0 in the bottom of the 7th when Corvallis walked the bases loaded for Larsen. Jerad Thompson pitched a complete game shut-out.

Thurston Game 1. Chad Alber 2b, 2rbis.  Grant Willis and Dan Straily combined for five K's in corralling the Cowboys .  Thurston Game 2. Jessie Sweet pitched 6, giving up only 2 earned runs fpr the W.  Nathan Cornacchia pitched the 7th for the save Roemen 7-8 on the day with 6 rbis

  Irish Finish 3rd at Grant Union Tournament
Sheldon finished 3-1 with wins over Astoria 17-4, Scappoose 22-0, and  Sisters 11-1. The lone lose was to Molalla 2-1.  For the weekend Sheldon pitchers gave up 5 earned runs and 18 hits in 21 innings.  Some hitters of note: Corey Moran was 7-13 for the tourney with three doubles, Alex Besaw was 7-12 with 2 doubles and a triple, Micah McJunkin was 5-11 with 2 hrs and a double and Tyler Manley was 6-11.  As a team this weekend the Irish were 54-112

South 2, Junction City 1.  South scored twice in the 1st.  Dan White hit a sacrifice fly to score Zach Taylor, and Jack Carpenter scored on a fielder's choice.  Michael Ward struck out 13 in five innings for South. Nate Traisman pitched two scoreless innings for the save.  Ward and Traisman held Junction City to just one hit.  Junction City's lone run came in the 4th, on a successful suicide squeeze.
