BLOCK DEPUTY
As a good Block Deputy you should be able to back up and fill in for your Block Leader whenever called upon. A good Block Deputy should be able to take over in case the Block Leader is gone unexpectedly meaning you will be responsible for learning everything you can to prepare yourself for this should it be needed. This will also prepare you for moving into higher positions should you desire it. Upon completion of your training you should understand the tools, know how to use them & what your limitations are in regards to the use of the tools. Try them out and have fun.
As Block Deputy you are responsible for the health of your block. You do this by making sure all of the following is done:
Keeping those above you informed of what is going on
Helping residents & new comers with any problems they may have. Remember you may be the first person they meet so make a good impression.
Recruiting residents
Planning & assisting with block and hood actives.
Yours is one of the most important jobs in CT. You are the backbone of the hood, meaning everything you do and say directly affects all those you work with and for. You are the first person a resident will turn to for whatever needs they may have. You will help fill the hood with residents. You will generate ideas for activities, which will increase activity for your block. You will train others on how to navigate and get the most from CT. Your actions and words will show others what our hood is like and about. Remember, You are a role model! Everything you do and say directly affects others. Do not ever take that responsibility lightly. Upon accepting this position you also agreed to conduct yourself & represent your Block, Hood, Colony & Cybertown with Honor, Respect, & Dignity. As a BD you may find you have also been hired because of special skills you possess which means you will have a special responsibility to your block. Always be ready to share your talent, skills, and knowledge with others. CT is a place for people to learn, grow, and become the person they know they can be as well as have fun. Duties
1. Check each house in the block for the following pornographic language, porn links, and bad bot
2. Check the following information on each house in the block:
A. House Name,
B. Resident Name,
C. Immigration Date,
D. Last Access,
E. Home Page if there is one listed
F. Whether the house has a Image
3. Meet and Greet New Residents either in Person by Message in their Message Box
4. Provide New Comers with training Training
5. Recruit New Residents
6. Participate in Activities
7. Submit ideas for Block Activities
8. Repost Messages from the Message Boards of Astrology, and Inner Realms (if asked) on Your Block board
9. Provide Support for the BL and ND
10. Take on extra Duties as needed.
11. Communicate with the BL, ND and NL
12. Assist in Block Maintenance
13. Report problems
14. Assist residents in making cool Message Boards and Inboxes for their houses
15. Assist with new Projects
16. Encourage residents to set their Inboxes and Message Boards to accept HTML
17. Encourage everyone to upload an Image (max size 15kb)
18. Post messages in Resident's house when asked
19. Inform others how to apply for jobs in your Neighborhood
20. Know and understand the Constitution
21. Know the Neighborhood guidelines
In Closing
Bd's are the momentum and energy for whole Hood. The BD is the life-giving blood of the entire community. It is the BD's initiative and incentive that makes the colony an exciting, fun place to be. When BD's fail to do their job the entire colony suffers. It is vital for all BD's to know and understand their job. As a BD, get involved! Get others involved! And lest you At first glance the job of BD may seem a bit overwhelming but once you have completed training for installment to the BD position, you will find most of the work can be done in a couple of hours at most. Being a BD can be and is a rewarding experience which can yield growth and promotions. The only limit are those you create yourself. The primary goal of the BL's, ND’s, and NL's is your success.
