WALLIS/WILSON FAMILY TREE
THE WALLIS FAMILY-Starts so far with Andrew Mathis Wallis, of Irish and French descent. He was married to someone I only know as Granny Gray (she married a man by the name of Gray after Andrew had died). They resided near Atlanta Georgia, had 3 sons and 1 daughter, Collens Wallis, Edward Wallis who was stricken with infantile paralysis and spent all his life in a wheelchair (he was a shoemaker by trade), Cynthia Hulda Wallis and Andrew Mathis Wallis Jr. Later in years some of the family had migrated west to Tennesee. In 1852 Andrew Mathis Wallis Jr. and his wife Rachel (White) Wallis left Marion County near Chattanooga, TN. along with their children and moved to Dent county Missouri along with Cynthia Hulda Wallis and her husband William Kell, their children, Moses White and his wife Martha (Kell) White. They Traveled in three covered wagons. Three yoke of oxen pulled each wagon. Wagon repair, laundry at the roadside source of water occupied Saturdays. Worship services by senior members of the families took place on Sundays. They crossed the Mississippi River by raft at Memphis, TN. and the entire trip took about 6 weeks till they reached their final destination. A complete list will be supplied along with any pictures I have aquired. Just click the link below.
THE WILSON FAMILY-As far as I know starts somewhere possibly in Metropolis, Illinois with Henry Wilson and his wife Susanna (Emmet I believe was her last name). They had 3 children all boys, John, William Frank, and Thomas. William Frank migrated to Butler County, Missouri and married Emma Jane White and had 5 children. The family is still sort of on the darkside of a mistery when it comes to finding any information amungst the vast thousands of Wilsons in America. One look into any phone book and you will probly see about 10 pages of them so if your a Wilson you know we give the Smiths and Jones families a run for thier money. The family that I know stayed in Missouri and resided in the St. Louis and Farmington areas on the east side of the state. A complete list will be supplied along with any pictures that I have been able to aquire. Just click the link below.
