PRESENTS
"BEHOLDER MARSH"
DM NOTE: To begin this adventure bring all or part of the party members off to the side one by one as if you want to inspect the character in private away from the rest of the party. This will give you the chance needed to give any or all each a different job that needs to be performed. The party will all be assembled in the Adventurers Club, also known as The Crossed Swords Inn, when they will form their party.
PARTY JOBS: For this adventure you can add a little more purpose to what needs to be accomplished by giving each party member a task to accomplish. I will leave it totally up to the DM to determine the type of compensation to award each member if their task is completed.
TASK A: Gris-Wald tells you of Read-Wald the high cleric in Temple Town explaining there is an epidemic beginning within the area of the Farmers Market which could spread rapidly if the food market became contaminated. To make the potion he needs a willow root from a group of willow trees found only on the south-eastern most landmass within the marsh at Beholder Marsh just north of the city.(This is the Willo-wisp scenario)"Quest"
TASK B: Gris-Wald approaches you with a caravan leader who offers to hire you if you are the right person. Upon further contemplation you deside to listen and the caravan leader starts complaining to you that the route through the marsh to the north have become dangerous to travel. Strange things have been happening to them. Halucinations overwhelm them and cause them to run wildly away from the area in all directions. Alot of good men are never heard from again. The next caravan will be in about 1 week and may not make it if this problem isn't taken care of first.(This is the Basidirond scenario)"Quest"
TASK C: Gris-Wald and One of the officers of the City Guard approache you and asks if you might be for hire. A bit low on funds you decide to at least listen. The Officer explains that he is looking for a hearty adventurer to aid him in retrieval of a scepter that was being sent to Brolado, from the King in the Capital City of Kazad, for the Governor of the city as a symbol of his position. Reports that man sized reptile creatures raided the caravan killing all but a few who barely made it out scarcely alive. Due to the civil unrest in the city, no guardsman can be spared to retrieve the scepter and requests your aid.(This is the Lizard Men Scenario)"Quest"
TASK D: You see a note posted on the board at the Adventurers Club. It Reads: One of our charter members "Den Bragmore" vanished from an investigation of nearly lifelike statues being erected on a larger landmass on the west side of Beholder Marsh. All Club possessions need to be safely returned and accounted for or bring back Bragmore and then we will deal with the possessions ourselves. Will hansomely compensate anyone up for the task. See the man at the front desk for the job. You discover the man at the front desk is named Gris-Wald and he tells you that there is a party forming this very instant and points you in their direction.(This is the Beholder scenario)"Quest"
TASK E: You aquired knowledge of an ancient temple just to the north of Beholder Marsh from a paper you attained from someone of a past caravan. The paper he gave you took you months to have decifered as you acted like you were learning the new language one word each day as you took the new word to a transcriber to have it translated for you. You have been wondering how to accomplish your task as you sit in the Adventurers Club.(This is the Flesh Golem scenario)"Quest"
