Governors Grounds

You approach the Gates from the city that leads to the Governors Grounds. It is time for you to pay your city taxes. As you near the gate you are met by two heavily armored guards who give you the once over and then allow you to pass.

Once inside you can see that the grounds are very large indeed. To the north you spot a large building used as the stables for the warrior guard that protects the city from outside intrusion. There are many guard out in the courtyard, just northwest of your position, practicing their art of warfare that they do not need the public to know to much about.

Straight ahead of you is the wall surrounding the Governors Keep and the quarters that house Taragon and his Breakers. The Governors top henchmen.

South of the Governors Keep is the prison grounds and guards quarters. Stories of the horrible things that happen in the dungeons there are common story amoung the people of the city. The Governor and his perverted ways are well known and it is said that very few who have ever been put into the dungeons have returned to tell the stories or the horrors.

You spot a sign that peoples taxes paid this way and you follow the sign. You notice that your every step to the destination is watched by one or more of the guards or warriors in the area. Security is very tight here you think. You spot a sign on a doorway it reads Peoples Taxes and enter.

Once in you spot a sign on the Tax Collectors desk that reads OUT TO LUNCH, PLEASE WAIT You spot a seat and sit.

While sitting you spot a sign on the wall, it looks to be a listing of some type so you check it out.

It reads:

Services Rendered

Selfemployed Service

Tax News

Vanguard

Financial Aid

Finally the Tax collector arrives and you pay him the amount you owe. He smiles as he lifts the very heavy bag of gold you placed on his desk and pours it out on the scales next to him letting out a small giggle with each clink of the coin.

You walk out the door and head back to the City.
