| Glittering snowflakes dance a sultry waltz As they gently cascade to the ground The icy, biting wind swirls around me Abruptly stealing my breath away I clutch my jacket to my body And dash along the snow-covered path Admiring the blanketed scenery around me My steps hasten toward my destiny In the distance, the ice covered pond Brightly glistens in the clear moonlight Ice blanketed trees bow down before me As the wise, old owl calls out into the night I breathlessly reach my destination And hurriedly glance around The wind whistles a melancholy tune As I unhappily lower myself to the ground I attempt to control my hastily beating heart And recapture my stolen breath Torrid thoughts dart through my troubled mind Have I possibly arrived too late? A piercing sound echoes behind me A tree limb crackles in the night I quickly scamper to my feet In time to observe his handsomely smiling face He hastily rushes toward me And pulls me into his strong arms We share a fiery lovers kiss And breathlessly hold each other tight As the wind continues to serenade us And the snowflakes waltz on the moonlit pond The night creatures scamper around us As we disappear into the night |
