| THE MIGHTY DEBATE | |||||||||||||||
| In the early morning dawn, a mighty oak falls And comes to rest on the forest floor The jungle comes alive and reacts To the echoing of its mighty roar Exotic creatures witness its destruction, But no humans are around So how do you answer the question, "Did it make a sound?" We discuss, debate, and argue the matter And try to come to some solution Until we feel like the Mad Hatter And our minds are in utter confusion Our society has programmed us That there's only one thing to believe The only way a falling tree can make a ruckus Is if we're there to see Are we so much in dominance Over all other living things That without our almighty presence Mother Nature's voice silently sings? Another tree is falling Onto the hard forest ground Skeptical voices are silenced By the mighty oak's amazing sound |
