There comes a time when children Love to hear bedtime stories About a land far, far away
The story can be about princesses or little pigs A boy that refuses to grow up Or a little girl visiting her grandmother
And no matter what the story entails Or where it takes place It calmly woos the child to sleep
Once upon a time In a land not so far away There lived a vile, vicious dragon
It invaded my home one calm Spring day Attacked my precious, teenage son And vowed to take him away
No matter what evil it possessed Or how ferociously it fought He battled it time and time again
He accepted every harrowing challenge Declared it would not triumph And refused to let it succeed
A few times it knocked him down And was prepared to declare victory But he refused to admit defeat
He continued to bravely fight With dignity, class, and pride And ultimately survived his battle with the dragon
This dragon was called Cancer Osteosarcoma to be exact A cursed menace straight from Hell
It has been defeated By this brave, daring knight With quiet strength within
As the innocent, sleeping child Dreams of castles, sugar plums, and fairies My son will live happily ever after......The End |
