Dear Fellow Music Lover,
We would like to tell you about an exciting opportunity available to singers in the Fredericksburg area! Under new direction, the Fredericksburg Singers are enjoying an increasingly adventurous and challenging repertoire. And it is for this very reason that we need to expand our membership. We need singers of good quality in all voice parts, but we especially need male singers to complement our current membership.
The Fredericksburg Singers is a college/community SATB chorus affiliated with Mary Washington College. Currently we have approximately 70 members, and would like to grow to 100 voices. We have four scheduled concerts per year in Dodd Auditorium and we sometimes have other optional performances throughout the community.
Last year we enjoyed a very successful concert season under the dynamic direction of Dr. Jane Tavernier.
Dr. Tavenier is planning more exciting programs for the coming concert season and is calling all singers in the Fredericksburg area to come and share your special talent with your community.
If you can sing, have a modest ability to read music, and can regularly attend Wednesday evening rehearsals, you are cordially invited to audition for the Fredericksburg Singers. Please call Dr. Tavernier for more audition details (540-654-1955).
