Military World Championships
Shooting 2004 Ankara, Turkey
Yesterday the Military Rapid Fire match finals were realy something.

The first relay had a preparation time of 3 minutes in stead of the 5 minutes it should have. The 2nd relay went nice and quick, withing 45 minutes. So of course the 3rd had to go different. Due to a lot of technical problems with the range it took almost 2 hours (1.55 min) before the shooters could leave their lines.(start at 11.30, finish at 13.25 hrs)
The 4th relay had some difficulties and at last the 5th relay started as early as 15.35 hrs.
The rangeofficers and their help worked their bums off. I bet they where happy to go home that evening. The 1st of 2 ladies matches started at 1700 hrs. (happy that we did not bring any women over here)

Today we went to see the finals of the Mens Rifle Rapid Fire.
A totally different part of our terrific sport.

This afternoon we have a CISM Technical meeting and we will talk about next years MWC at Switzerland in october. But also about other tournaments in the plan 2004 -2007, regulations and so on.

The weather is great now after we had bad weather the past few days.
And we also found out that
at least 5 CISM webmasters are here...

Norway         Pal Hembre
Sweden         Lars Lundmark
Canada          Rick Ward
Finland          Mikka Taussi
Netherlands   Roland van den Akker

but maybe there are more...

Allthough I sent several E-mails to the address on the Angora newspapers, never any answer recieved, and as you can tell by reading these papers... It is all about the Pentathlon en almost nothing on shooting. An extra reason to keep this site up.

We will take pictures with all webmasters at the closing banquet together with the CISM shooting President of the TC, Colonel Joseph Fischlin. If there are more webmasters, please contact one of us to be in the
picture.

Thats all for now, see ya all later!
