Kadie's Story
Here's Kadie Did's story. My wife Paula got Kadie for a birthday present on March 15, 1989. She sure was the tiniest, wooliest little girl we'd ever seen & was Paula's pride & joy.
At about the age of 6 months, Kadie escaped our yard & was struck by a car. We took her to our vet & he referred us to Purdue animal school. After their doctors diagnosis, he advised us that she had a broken hip, pelvis & both back legs. He said that surgery could help, but that she wouldn't be 100%. We made the decision to go ahead. After about a week or so, she was ready to come home. Everyone there just loved her. They didn't want to let her go.
There was 6 months of diapers & confinement to a play pen. After a lot of rehabilitation with that old cat, Shadow, she was as good as could be expected. She had to learn how to walk & run all over. She had quite a strange gait, to say the least. Oh yea, they removed her tail because it was broken. A docked Sheltie....
One of her favorite places was on the back of the couch, which gave her a good veiw of the outside world.
Here's a scene from the movie "ET".
She sure did sleep in the weirdest positions, like this "crash" one here. She really wore out some beds.
You know, there's always those thousands of cute poses too.
Here's her Corgi impersonation. Pretty good, huh?

What a grand old girl. Crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 4th 2001, where she waits patiently. She will be sorely missed by all...
