HOME OF MVXC YEAH!!

This site is the place where information including schedules, results, directions, and pictures will be placed for easier access for parents and students alike. Cross-country is a very time consuming activity, for both the athlete and parent(s) of the athlete. However, I believe that it is all worth the time and effort and it's one of the best things in the world to run a great race and to have had your mom or dad there to see you do it. I hope that with this site, more parents will get involved with the team, be it making calls or carpooling to the meets or even just joining the athletic boosters.

The only transportation we have to and from meets are the cars of our parents - students are not allowed to drive to meets.

Congratulations to Jason Yow & Dana Underwood who advanced to the 2002 State Cross Country meet @ Woodward Park in Fresno on 11/30. At the 11/16 CCS meet, the Boys team placed 7th while girls team placed 4th. For details, see Cupertino Courier's report on 11/20/02.

2002 is the Best season for the Monta Vista Cross Country runners:

2002 De Anza League Cross Country Champions: The returning 2001 Champions claimed First place titles for Varsity Boys, JV Boys, Frosh/Soph Boys, JV Girls at the 2002 DAL Cross Country Finals. The Varsity Girls came in 3rd. Both the Boys & Girls Varsity teams advanced to CCS meet on 11/16 @ Toro Park.
2002 FUHSD Cross Country Champions: Monta Vista Cross Country team swept all 4 titles at the 2002 FUHSD Cross Country Championships held at Lynbrook on 10/31.
