| LOGS: Throughout the summer, all cross country athletes will be required to maintain an individual training log. Coach Derkacz would prefer that you use an online log, available through Cool Running.com. If you have your own e-mail, you can register for a log. If you are under 14, you'll need to use the team account: user e-mail is "[email protected]" and the password is "warriorsxc". Each week, you MUST e-mail your progress to Coach Derkacz. [In order to do so, go to the "Calendar" page and click on the "Print" link from the "Week" view. Then, once your printer friendly view loads, rather than printing, just click on "File" and "Save As" to save the page view to your computer and attach it to an e-mail message to Coach Derkacz. Simple, right?] SHOES: For you cross country and/or track folks who are shopping for competition shoes, Coach Derkacz recommends the following brands, with links for shoes available at Eastbay.com: Long-distance Nike Asics New Balance Flats Nike Asics New Balance Girls' [shoes specific to female athletes] Nike Asics New Balance WATCHES: In addition, we will be making use of wristwatches, this fall. Since I still have a coach's coupon, I will plan on purchasing a few of the Casio variety.
