Our Vessels
Plymouth Unit had two very different vessels under her command, MVS Mariner (no longer with the unit) and MVS Delta.
MVS Mariner
MVS Mariner was the first vessel that the Plymouth Unit acquired in the nineties and is a small ex-day boat which was thoroughly (and lovingly) converted into the vessel it is today by dedicated members of the Unit. She is powered by a new Yanmar 8hp inboard diesel and, on occasion a British Seagull outboard. She is now underused since the arrival of Plymouth's new vessel Delta. Unfortunately Mariner is no longer with the unit. She has some major technical problems, which weren't picked up last year by the surveyor. It was with great regret that she was given away to someone who not only had the financial means to salvage her, but the motivation to turn the vessel around and get her back in working condition.

MVS Delta
The principle vessel of the Western Area's Plymouth Unit is MVS Delta; she is kindly on loan from HM Customs and hopefully will eventually be wholly owned by the unit. MVS Delta is a fairly new 6.5m RIB which is powered by twin two stroke Yamaha 90hp outboards. She is an extremely quick, sea-going vessel, which has already crossed the channel to France and returned without problems.
