I have a difficult time ahead of me. But if I am to be prepared for it, I must first shed my fear of it! I stand here now, truthfully unafraid. Why? Because I believe something you do not? No! I stand here without fear because I remember. I take my cue from Asaph in Psalm 77: "I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old." I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me, but because of the path that lies behind me! I remember that for 50 years the enemy has sent his armies to destroy me. I remember that for 50 years, the enemy has assaulted my heart and broken my relationships. And after half a century of war, I remember that which matters most;
I AM STILL HERE!!!
Tonight I send a message to that army. Tonight I will shake the skies! Tonight I will tremble this land of earth and stone! I will be heard from red core to black sky. Tonight, I will make them remember; I am Matthew Gilchrist von Hobe - and I am not afraid!!! |
