Monkton is an all volunteer department averaging about 61 calls a year, a good portion of those being EMS first response. That may not seem like a lot, but remember Monkton only has about 500 homes and 2,000 residents. |

| Like most volunteer departments in small communities, Monkton struggles to keep it's membership roster full. Fortunately the department has a core group of very dedicated volunteers. Some of those most active are charter members with more than 30 years of service. | ||
|
Butch Dupont is the current volunteer Fire Chief. Butch is the owner of Dupont Auto in Monkton. |
