Burning Regulations
The following are Burn Regulations set forth by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal's Office:
1.  Homeowners are allowed to burn brush-leaves and house trash in rural areas where trash service is not provided or available.  The responsible party must call in control burns to the communication center and be at least 50 feet from any structure.

2.  Operating farms are allowed to burn brush on top of ground-fence rows etc.  The responsible party must call the communication center.

3.  Developers-Contractors-Land Clearing operations etc. must get approval from the Fire Marshal's Office before any burning is allowedand be at least 1,000 feet from any structure.  When approved, a pit must be used with any air curtain destructor that meets DEQ requirements.

4.  The Town of Leesburg-
NO BURNING unless approved by the Fire Marshal.

5. 
FEBRUARY 15 Through APRIL 30, each year burning is banned. (Except during the hours of 4PM and midnight.)  This includes all of the above unless approved by the Fire Marshal's Office or the Department of Forestry.

6. 
JUNE 1, Through AUGUST 31, each year all burning is banned. (Except for emergencies and must be approved by the Fire Marshal's Office.)
