Elections: The Mount Vernon Farms Civic Association will be holding their annual elections. Nominations will be accepted from the floor.

Old Mount Vernon Rd. / Mount Vernon Highway Redesign (Y intersection): The no left turn sign was taken down by VDOT but somehow another work crew put another one up. The new one will come down. The redesign of this intersection is in VDOTs hands and we are not sure when improvements will be made.

Parkside of Mount Vernon: The MVCCA has passed a resolution to remove the traffic diverter at Route One. Also, a playground is being built in the County Park on Central Ave. None of the new homeowners at Parkside, Ryan Homes, or the MVFCA knew about this. We are trying to gather background information on this project.

Central Ave: Finally some preliminary work is being done to this old road. The MVCCA Transportation committee is working with VDOT and the builder to repave most of this road.

Proposed Development of Dawson Property on Nalls Rd.: The public hearing for this project is on June 28^th at 8 p.m. This development of 10 cluster homes, in the $500k range, is being proposed for the property at the western end of Nalls Rd. (Nalls Rd. is directly across from Mt. Vernon High School).

South County Center: This project has been approved by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors but the transportation issues are still being worked out.
