Wolverine
"I'm still the best at what I do...."

Most people don't know about Wolverine's past. Heck, even he doesn't know about it himself! He was born with animal like senses, speed and agility. In addition to that he's got a mutant healing factor that makes him nearly immortal. He used to have adamantium surgically grafted to his bones, but a battle with Magneto ended with all the metal ripped out of him. He's recovered from his battle wounds and is now after the X-Men's greatest enemy, Onslaught. He is definitely one of the most dangerous characters in the game. Why's he so dangerous? Well cause he's cheap. Read on to find out why.

Move Commands

Berserker Barrage +P
Wolverine rushes forward while slashing his claws. This attack hits several times and is great for chipping damage. The recovery delay and the distance he goes depends on the strength of the punch button used. For example, the Jab version is very safe and is almost impossible to counter, but it hits only four times. The Fierce version hits up to nine times, but leaves him wide open if it's blocked. It'll OTG but since Wolvie has no knockdowns, it's not used that way very often.

Tornado Claw +P
Wolvie spins around slashing his claws while rising in the air. It hits multiple times, it's comboable and has good range, but it doesn't do that much damage. It is an extremely risky move because he takes forever to recover. Also, the opponent will sometimes land before Wolvie, letting them pull off a big counter.

Drill Claw hold a direction+LP+MK
Wolvie sticks out his arm and flies toward his opponent. This is an extremely safe move for him to pull off because it is very fast and it's great for punishing mistakes with a quick counter. Be careful if it's blocked because quick opponents will be able to attack him while he's recovering. He can do it in the air as an escape maneouver or as an AC Finisher. Finally, if he does it into a corner, you can make Wolvie rebound off the wall and attack them while they're trying to counter him.

Berserker Slash +P
Wolverine dashes forward and does a single powerful slash on his opponent. It'll plow through fireballs and it is extremely fast once it gets started. However, there is a start up delay and if blocked, Wolvie is left vulnerable. A risky move but it should prove to be useful against fireballers.

Supermove Commands

Berserker Barrage X +2P(Level One)
A super version of his Berserker Barrage. It comes out extremely quickly, comboes and does a good amount of damage. Use this very often both as a counter attack and an offensive move. Watch out though because Wolvie likes to show off by taking a big slash at the end of the move. If blocked, it leaves him wide open to launchers and other quick counters. Overall, one of the most effective supers in the history of the versus games.

Weapon X +2P(Level One)
Wolvie pops his claws, rushes at his opponent and pulls off an auto combo that ends in an X shaped slash. It's a very intimidating move to connect with but it's effectiveness has been reduced. Wolvie will not plow through fireballs anymore and the start up delay is longer than it's ever been. It used to be a great counter attack to many moves but it's now almost useless. If blocked, it does zero damage so don't expect any block damage from it.

Fatal Claw +2K(Level One)
Wolverine jumps into the air and releases an X shaped energy beam. It's really cool to look at and is really easy to combo. Also, it's useful against jumping opponents cause Wolvie jumps forward while doing it. He usually ends up behind his opponent and they can't block cause they get crossed up. It has been toned down though and it only does as much damage as any of the other super moves in the game. Still too powerful in my opinion.

Berserker Charge +2P(Level One)
Capcom has decided to keep this super for some reason that I can't think of. Wolverine slashes once in the air and becomes twice as fast. It still makes him friggin fast and Wolvie players love using it to set up their opponents for some painful combos. Also, the infinites are still in place for cheap ass Wolverine players to abuse. On the cool side though, the initial charge does hit and I've finished a fight using this super once. :p

Team Counter

Berserker Barrage HP+HK(Level One)
A very good counter because he has good horizontal range as well as speed. Not useful against beam super though.

Team Super

Berserker Barrage X HP+HK(Level Two)
A great team super because of it's speed. Use Wolvie to start off team super attacks cause he can combo the sucker. Team him up with a partner that can follow up his attack and you've pretty much got a sure win.
