"My symbiote is tops. Everyone should have one!"

During the Secret Wars, Spider-Man was forced to use an alien replacement after his cotume was detroyed. At first, he marvelled at all the abilities that the cotume gave him. However, he soon realized that the costume was an alien being and quickly got rid of it. Feeling rejected, the costume went slithering around a church for a while until it found Eddie Brock. Brock had recently been embarassed by Spider-Man and was attempting suicide at the time. The symbiote joined with him and gave him a better alternative to suicide.....revenge! Together, they became Venom, a villain with all of Spidey's powers and a lot more muscle. He's recently given up his quest to kill Spidey and has become a sort of lethal protector for the innocent. Now, his sense of honor has led him to the fight against Onslaught's wrath.

Lunge Bite +HP
Venom's costume forms a huge mouth around his arms and bites down on his opponent. This move is similar to Juggernaut's lunge punch and is extremely powerful. It's very fast and will catch most opponents trying to dash in on him. It's a great move to use when playing keep away.

Venom Fang +P
Venom becomes a big black blob that gushes forward at an arc. This move is very easy to combo and it's nearly impossible to counter. Venom has almost no recovery lag and if it's blocked, he is more or less safe from counter attack. Just make sure that you don't use a button that's too strong or he'll jump right over his opponent. It can be done in the air as well as a quick counter attack or as a very effective AC Finisher.

Venom Rush +K
Venom sends his costume thru the ground and hits his opponent with it. The distance that the tendrils go is determined by the kick button used. It will work as a ground attack and as an anti air move. Venom does have a hard time recovering from this move, so use it sparingly on jump happy opponents. If you misjudge the distance and use the wrong kick button, you'll be eating team super even before you can say, "Oops!"

Web Throw +P
This is my personal favorite move in the whole game. Venom shoots out a web line at his opponent and slams them around before hurling them at the wall. If you spin the joystick and jam on the buttons, you can get up to four extra slams out of him. The punch button used determines the angle that he shoots out the web. From weakest to strongest, the web goes straight forward, at a forty-five degree angle or straight up. Though it's very slow and quite risky, it can be used as an effective anti air attack. It's also one of the funniest friggin moves in the game.

Venom Web +2P(Level One)
Venom jumps into the middle of the screen and releases a huge web. When it hits the opponent, he crawls toward them and does an auto combo ending in a Venom Fang. I like to call it "Web On X" for obvious reasons. Muhahahaha!! It does great damage and can cross up opponents since he jumps slightly forward while starting it. However, he shines just before jumping, which let's them see it a mile away. It's best to pull it off as a surprise counter attack or after a helper character.

Death Bite +2K(Level One)
Venom's costume oozes into the ground and repeatedly pummels his opponent. This is what I refer to as a wave super. Like the Gamma Wave and Magnetic Shockwave, the opponent becomes a reluctant surfer on this wave of symbiote. It does excellent damage and will combo after a S.Roundhouse. Watch out though because his recovery on this move is quite slow, leaving him vulnerable to quick counter attacks. It's his best chipping super, so use it in a desperate cheese fight.

Venom Fang HP+HK(Level One)
A good counter for just about any normal attack or fireball. However, it is nearly useless against beam supers. I'm pretty sure that it's fast enough to catch multi hitting supers though.

Death Bite HP+HK(Level Two)
It's best to have Venom starting the team super because of the fact that he can combo it. His Death Bite will compliment just about any other super and will do great chipping damage. Watch out though because if Venom is the support character, he'll be vulnerable to counter attack.
