Ultima Armour Onslaught
"Now....Behold my mighty hand!"

After defeating Onslaught's first form, he comes back bigger and badder. This is a very tough fight you will only survive it if you use your head and if you did alright in the fight against his smaller version. Patience, a brain, quick reflexes and a little luck will help you to come out on top against him.

Onslaught's Moves

Hyper Grav
Onslaught's second form has also got these darn things. You know what they are and you know what they do. Super jumping or dashing away is your best option. You could also throw a fireball to neutralize em if you're gutsy. It's a lot easier to dodge Ultima's Hyper Gravs cause they start out much higher in the air than First Form Onslaught's. Don't get cocky though. If you get caught in one of these, the damage that Ultima does is much worse than anything that the first form could dish out.

Psionic Puppets
Same idea as First Form Onslaught's Psionic Puppet. They jump in with about fourth of a life bar while Onslaught flies into the background and takes a breather. Don't waste any time beating these guys. The sooner you get Onslaught back into the fight, the less energy he recovers.

Sentinel Air Strike
They'll fly in from the side of the screen and drop bombs on you. Super Jump over them or block. Second form Onslaught likes to call these guys in whenever you're trying to super him in the air. Try to avoid them cause they do a lot of block damage.

The Mighty Fist
Onslaught rams his opponent with his big ass fist. It hits many many times and acts a lot like Apocalypse's drill super. It can't be pushed and it does a lot of block damage. As a rule, you should super jump everytime you see him quickly disappear from the screen, cause he's about to do this move. It OTG's so he usually combos it after an Eye Beam.

Eye Beam
This is Onslaught's most powerful and dangerous move. Always be on the lookout for it. He shoots beams in three directions at your character and if any one of them connect, be prepared for some pain. This move simply hurts. It does more damage than most characters supers. The worst thing is that he can bounce it off the floor if he wants to catch your character in the air. Block it whenever you see it coming at you and dodge if you can. If you don't, then it's all over. This move is the main reason you can't air combo Onslaught. Only single attacks will keep your character from getting hit by these.

How to beat him

When fighting Ultima Onslaught, you've got to use your brain. You can't just jump in and brawl with him like you could with Cyber Akuma. You have to wait for his attack and retaliate when you can. Here are the specific tips for fighting this big sucker.

- Do a lot of blocking. Yes it may seem cheap to you people but it'd be stupid trying to pummel Onslaught to death. The main idea is to poke and block, poke and block. Constantly retreating will help you live to fight another few seconds.

- Do a lot of super jumping too. Whenever you see Onslaught backing out of the screen, it means that he's getting ready to rush at you with his drill. Simply time your super jump so that you get into the air before he reappears. This will save you a lot of chipping damage.

- Find out your characters strongest single hit normal move in the air. This will be the only attack that you'll need against him. Whenever you have a chance, jump up and hit him with it. If you're smart and you time it right, you'll be able to hit him without getting hit back. Special moves take too much time to recover from.

- Avoid the Hyper Gravs at all costs. If he catches you with one, he will hit your character with an eye beam and we all know how much damage those things do, don't we? If you do get caught, roll the joystick frantically and ram the buttons. You might break free in time to block the attack.

- As far as I can tell, the only helper that is of any use against Ultima Onslaught is Magneto. For some reason, fighting part of himself does not agree with Onslaught. If he gets hit by the EM Disruptor, Onslaught becomes stunned for about two seconds. Take advantage of it and hit him with your most powerful attack or combo.

- Well that's all you need to know in terms of general strategy. For some character specific info on how to beat Onsalught, just go the character's strategy page. On each page, I've listed the best supers, combos and atatcks to use against Onslaught. Good luck and Happy gaming!
