Silver Sage's Marvel vs. Capcom Strategy Section
Hey True Believers
This is the page where you will find in-depth strategies that
will give you bragging rights to carve your initials on the side
of MvsC. The individual pages will be updated as new info is
found. Just look under the original guides and you'll see then
next to the date of when they were posted. You can also access
the Strategy Guides in their moves list. When you enter a
character page, you'll find that there will be more info and
listings that are more organized than on MSHSF. Here is a
description of all the subjects.

----NEW FIGHTING TACTICS FOR NEWBIES AND
VETRANS----
Now that the competition is tough and no longer
ignorant, you'll need to change up your whole pattern to those
who are "down with the game". I started doing this in
MSHSF with Shadow so there will be a few who know this move from
their own skills. If you have a medium or small character and
someone decides to jump at you, walk under and as soon as they
are somewhat behind you turn and start a ground combo beginning
with jab, half of your combo should be standing, the other half
you'll need to duck and sweep as a finisher. If you are fast
enough, cancel into your super or team super. For example,
Wolvering jumps at Ryu, Ryu walks under Wolvie and Wolvie's back
is turned since he's overjumped. Ryu does S.jab, S.strong,
C.forward, C.roundhouse and ends if off with an OTG Super
HadoKen. This works very well and not much can be done about it
cuz their back is turned. Even though they should be able to turn
and block if fast enough, but not many think about it or it's too
late. Another one is launch your victim, walk on the other side
of them and launch them again. This tactic takes advantage of
human reaction. 90% of us aren't used to this move and those who
are at least fall for it once. We usually get launched and when
we don't see the person following, we think "he's going to
try launching us again". Well, you're part right, it's just
now they are on the other side and you're blocking the wrong way!
So you get launched again and then comboed. This only works with
medium and small fighters. Jin is an exception. Venom is
considered a large fighter. Just look at him when he stands up
all the way, but you can try!
------FLY SWATTING-----
Medium and large characters now have a better
chance to swat at jumping attacking opponents as a counter. I
tried doing this in MSHSF but it just wasn't effective enough.
Now it works very well. If they jump attack with a heavy button,
block and quickly press jab and you'll tag them. See where this
is going?
Venom can do a S.strong to launch, Zan can immediately SPD after
the jab, Hulk...well S.fierce is good enough. Captain can launch
or do a combo ending with a trip(see above). Ryu can fireball, W.
Machine can do S.fierce...well you get the idea. You may be able
to sneak a super if fast enough...HHHMMM I wonder. Note: this
doesn't work if they double hit you in the air...even if you
block, they will be on the ground already.
----REFER TO MSH VS STREET FIGHTER------------
Many things that I have mentioned there still apply
to Marvel Vs. Capcom.
Let's get on with the fighters of the saga.
