Have any of you ever watched the Dark Man movies? Well the main character in those films is a guy who does not feel pain and has increased strength and vitality! Now picture the same guy.....but with a spinning piledriver! Make him look like a Russian Zombie and you've got one the best secret characters in the game, Mega Zangief! He loses very very little damage and he does not flinch! He cannot be launched or knocked down and nothing will make him reel! Combo supers like Weapon X and Final Justice will not work on him! Mega Zangief is able to stop any characters attack or combo in midmove! However, the downside to this guy is that he can't block at all! Everything coming his way will hit and people who pick him should be careful when fighting characters with long distance multi-hitting supers! Mega Zangief must be relentlessly pursuing his opponent and always on the offensive! Get the SPD motion down to a science to kick ass with this character!
Spinning Clothesline 3P
Zangief's classic move! He spins around with his arms outstretched! If he connects, it hurts! He can still move horizontally while doing this move and it goes through fireballs too! Try not to do this move to often though because if the opponent crouches, they can dish out as many attacks as they like cause he won't be knocked down and he can't counter while spinning around!
Spinning Lariat 3K
The same as the spinning clothsline but for a shorter period of time! This is more effective than the full clothesline because it doesn't leave him vulnerable as long so that he can pull out those SPD's!
Air Grab 

+P
Zangief with a dragon punch?!?! No way! Well it's not really a Dragon Punch but it's the same principle! Much like Rose's Soul Catch, he jumps in the air and if he connects, slams the opponent down in various ways, depending on the punch button! This was actually one of his supers in SFA2 but at least now it doesn't waste a whole level if you miss! Should only be used if your opponent is right above you since his angle of jump is really steep!
Spinning Piledriver 270 degrees +P
This is the most powerful move in the whole game! No other special can deal the damage that this does! Mega Zangief can even interrupt other characters supers and specials with this cause of his mega armor! Learn how to do this effectively and all matches against Zangief will be short ones! Watch out though cause if you miss it, then Mega Zangief stands there with a stupid look on his already zombified face while grabbing for air!
Running Bear Grab 



+K
If done up close, Zangief will grab his opponent, do a suplex and then jump up with them and slam them down! If done from far away, he will run up to them and if he connects, grabs them and slams them into the ground! This is a good move to pull off only if you're close but too far away for an SPD! This is because Mega Zangief's RGB is much slower than regular Zangief's! He sort of moseys on along the screen and if an opponent sees it coming and is able to jump over it, MZ will be eating super! He'll be unable to retaliate too because he'll still be walking in the other direction so use this move with caution!
Siberian Blast 

+P
This is one of Mega Zangief's most valuable moves in his arsenal! It is a sort of yoga flame attack that shoots from his mouth! It comes out very fast and it reaches about 3/4 of the screen! It allows him to stop other characters supers, if they are too far away to punch or SPD! Mega Optic Blasts, Shinkuu Hadokens and Omega Destroyers would all make quick work of Mega Zangief if he didn't have this move to save his big zombiefid butt!
Final Atomic Buster 270 degrees+2P(Level One)
After charging, Zangief walks slowly up to his opponent and grabs them! He then does two suplexes in a row, a piledriver and then a very high spinning piledriver! The most damaging super in the whole game! Once this is done to one of an opponents teammates, don't expect them to be winning! Very impressive looking too! However, it can be avoided rather easily so always pull it off in a combo or while an opponent is trying to pull off a combo or a super on you! It'll teach them to stay away!
Rising Lariat 270 degrees+2K(Level One)
Mega Zangief also has a super which Zangief doesn't! He rises into the air with his arms stretched out and spinning! It's sort of like Sakura's Haru-Ichiban but doesn't have the same vacuum effect and the opponent is oftne knocked away after a few hits! Itdoes ok as an anti air move but it's better to just go for an FAB!
Spinning Lariat MP+MK
Works fine as a team attack but he can be ducked and swept so make sure your current teammate can defend Zangief's legs with an attack of their own!
Running Bear Grab 

HP+HK
Tremendous damage when used to counter up close attacks, but it's pretty useless against beam supers! However, if they're right next to Mega Zangief when they throw their projectile or super, he can walk through the hits and grab them so it's effective for countering mid distance attacks as well!
Super Spinning Clothesline 

HP+HK(Level Two)
Zangief comes into the screen spinning and he does a lot of it! Not that great cause it can be ducked but chips good damage! However...it's better to do the:
Double Final Atomic Buster 

HP+HK(Level Two)
A truly painful and impressive team super! Very unique! You must do the motion while Mega Zangief is the legal man and up close to the opponent! Both the Russian and his teammate will then grab the opponent and do a piledriver that just destroys half of an opponents life! More if you have a power character as a teammate! Easier to do than the Final Atomic Buster I might add.....
What is Mega Zangief's greatest weakness? Obviously, the fact that he can't block is a major problem! His biggest nemesis is Mr. Optic Blast Cyclops! Cyclops can shoot Mega 'Gief from afar and then double jump away when he gets too close to attack from the other side and then hit him with his supers as soon as the meter is charged! I once lost half of my life because I was too far away to stop the barrage from a Mega Optic Blast!
There is really not much that Mega Zangief can do against Cyclops, Akuma, Ryu and Omega Red so my advice is to keep up the pressure! Don't ever let up and don't let them get away from you! If they do manage to get away and have a super meter charged, switch out as soon as possible to save Mega Zangief but make sure your incoming character is relatively safe or else it will all be for naught!

This is an expert combo because of the fact that the SPD is so friggin hard to connect in the air! You have to be a Zangief master for this combo to work but it is very impressive and painful!
8) J.Fierce \/ C.Strong /\ SJ.Jab, SJ.Forward --> Kick Lariat \/ S.Roundhouse --> Jab Green Hand, FAB
Theoretical Combos
2) J.DN.Forward \/ C.Short, SPD
3) Jump over enemy J.DN.Fierce \/ C.Fierce --> RBG
4) Jump and do nothing, RBG/SPD/FAB upon landing
5) Block a character switch, RBG/SPD/FAB
7) Wait until an enemy screws up a move that puts them in the air. Get below them and then C.Fierce --> FAB
8) Strong Throw the enemy up into the air. On their way down, RBG or S.Jab --> FAB
12) After an FAB or SPD or RBG, if the enemy rolls, do the RBG or the FAB again and the enemy will roll into your arms
13) Kamikaze!!!! Super Jump at them SJ.DN.Fierce and then keep on doing the 360 motion on the controller! Hit punch as soon as you land! You'll plow through anything they throw at you and SPD them! �
