The Horseshoe Grave
oooo
Just east of Somerset on Otterbien Rd. is Otterbien Cementary. Nestled in the corner of the graveyard is the grave of Mary Henry. Local legend has it that Mary died very young and when her husband remarried she got her jealous revenge from beyond the grave. Shortly after her husband remarried he was summoned to her grave a print of a horseshoe had appeared on the back of it. About a week later he was working with Marys horse and was kicked in the head and killed. It is said the the mark left on his face was identical to the one on the stone. The stone is still there for all to see today and sure enough on the back is the print of a horseshoe.
