The Man in Blue
This legend is a personal favorite of mine as I have found some merit in it. Having worked in the health for a long time many of my co-workers have reported seeing a man entering a residents room and when they arrived in the room they found no one there. Shortly thereafter the resident would pass away. The man is always dressed in blue , but strangely no other details about his appearance is ever remembered.

The most popular belief is that the man is an angel who comes to comfort those about to pass away and let them know that everything is allright. I personnally like this theory myself.

This legend is extremely widespread and almost all nursing homes and hospitals have a blue hued spectre helping their residents. In my thoughts this is the most substanciated of all the ghostly legends I have run accross as most of the sightings are professional educated workers.
