| This house helped to spurn my interest in haunted houses . It is located outside of Pennsville along route 377. Though it has stood for alot of years its haunted history is a young one. During the early 1970s the home was occupied by a normal middle-class family until tragedy struck . The teenage son of the family drove down the lane next to the house and shot himself after being rejected by a local girl. In a horrible depression his father shot himself shortly after in the back bedroom of the house. The mother then moved away to leave the sad memories behind her. In the following years another family moved in and discovered a few ghastly things about there home the most frightning being the bloodstain on the wall in the back bedroom. In an attempt to get rid of it they painted and wallpapered over the stain only to have it bleed right through. The lady of the house felt sorrowed spirits around her and heard many strange sounds. In a few years houses were built down the road that the young man had shot himself. One night the young couple who had moved in at the end of the lane seen and heard a car drive up in their driveway and heard the car shut off then heard a loud bang and the headlights went out . When they went to investigate they found nothing there . |
