episode 1- Ra'am lives
1-1
11 years later...

A young man was walking with a girl. The boy, whom people called Sinnah, talked amiably with his companion, a girl named Sheherazod Juk. The girl, 17, smiled as Sinnah spoke to her. They were best friends for years.

Sheherazod's father, Bruto Juk, had only one child.  That was Sheherazod. He had met up with a much younger Sinnah around a decade ago. That had been about the time of the Great Revolt. Bruto had invited the wandering boy for a meal at his home.  And there Sinnah stayed for years.

Of course, the Juk family was poor, as were the rest of the inhabitants of the Kingdom. Only the ruling tyrant, Tyro Smatter, had enough money or food to survive. For eleven years, he had taxed the people out of their wealth. He destroyed many homes. Worst of all, he was ruthless and cruel.  He wanted power and honor, and stopped at nothing to get it.  He heavily taxed his subjects and punished those who could not pay it with horrible, painful torture in his dungeons.

The Juk family considered themselves fortunate enough to have survived the Great Revolt, during which many people died.  They lived in a small shack, was divided into three rooms-- two bedrooms and  a "kitchen."  When Sinnah moved in, Sheherazod's "room" was split in half, so as to accomodate the boy.

Now, eleven years later, the Juk family had still not overcome their poverty. And the boy Sinnah, who was now a young man, had remained with the family and acted the part of son and brother.

Sheherazod turned to Sinna. "You're not home as much as you used to be, Sinnah. I miss you."

Sinna grinned. "Aww, Sherry, I've been working at your father's shop helping him with the accounts. Now don't you give me that look, Sherry. Maybe you should get used to not seeing me too often."

Sherry looked at him with surprise. "What do you mean by that, Sinnah? Why do you say that?"

Sinnah took a breath. "Maybe this will help explain a few things." With those words, he pulled out a gold pin from his pocket and handed it to her. "Here, Sherry. Look at it. You know what it is, Sherry. It's a pendant that only members of the royal family used to wear. That I wore once. Your father met me eleven years ago while I was running away from the palace. My mother made sure I always had the pin with me. She told me to keep it forever."

Sherry had a look of shock written all over her face. "So... so then... you're royal, Sinnah! But... your name isn't Sinnah then. You're one of the princes and..." She looked away. Sinnah couldn't see tears forming in her eyes.

He moved closer. "Sherry, you're right. My name's not Sinnah. It's Blake... of the royal Ra'am family. And the time has come for me to leave here and take back the Kingdom from Tyro. I know I can trust you not to tell anyone my secret... Sherry, look at me!"

"Sinnah, Blake, I..." Sherry sobbed. "I don't want you to go. I can't bear the thought of never seeing you again, that you might even die... I... You can't, Sinnah!" A torrent of tears overtook Sheherazod. "I won't let you go there!"

Blake concerntrated on staring at the ground. "Shhh...You know I'll be okay. I'm tough, remember? And don't you think it's easy for me to say goodbye... It's not. We know each other for a long time and I..." He became quiet. He wondered what he wanted to say.

For a moment, the two just looked at each other. Then, suddenly, they were interrupted.

"--Sinnah! There you are, boy! I've been looking for you!" exclaimed Bruto Juk. "I need you to settle the accounts, son. I've had some trouble with a client."

Blake rose. "Yes, sir. I'll be right behind you." Bruto Juk began to walk off towards the house, but Blake stood fixed in his spot. He grinned to Sherry, winked, and followed Mr. Juk.

Sheherazod sat down on the grass slowly. She began to process facts in her mind. Sinnah... wasn't really Sinnah. He was Blake. And the rightful ruler of the planet! He could save their world... and die in the process. If he left... she may not see him again, ever.

Sherry closed her eyes in order to stop her tears.
