THE YOUNG PERFORMER
Kevin Scott Richardson was born on October 3rd, 1972 in Lexington, Kentucky. His parrents are Anne and Jerald Sr. and his brothers are Tim and Jerald Jr.
He grew up on a 10 arce farm, for his first 9 years of his life, where he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and horses. He loved school
and played little league football. He grew up singing in church, often duets with his mom (awe, how cute right?). When Kevin was
10 he moved into a "gorgeous" log cabin. Kevin got his first keyboard as a freshmen in highschool. Soon after he started entertaining
in restaurants and at weddings. Kevin performed in the community theater productions of "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Barefoot In
The Park." Then he set off to pursue a carrer in entertainment. He left for Orlando, FL. When he arived hired by Walt Disney
World to play Aladdin in stage shows and in the daily parades. Kevin also played a Ninja Turtle. A friend told him about
the auditions for the Backstreet Boys. So he decided to audition, his voice and personality landed him the job.
Illness
If you read my brian bio you will find out that Brian, Kevin's cousin and another member of the Backstreet Boys almost died when
he was 5 (of course, most of you probably already know that anyways), but that's not the only member of Kevin's family that
he has/almost lost. In 1991 his dad died of Cancer. To this day he has still not gotten over that and doesn't talk about it,
poor guy! Also, while the Backstreet Boys were in tour in Germany Kevin had to have his appendix taken out.
THE BALL AND CHAIN
When Kevin was 19 he was invovled with a 25-year-old woman named Beth. They got engange, she feel in love with another man and
left Kevin heartbroken. However that didn't last long. Kevin met his wife, Kristen Willits, while he was playing Aladin at Disney
World in Orlando, FL. She was a dancer for the Beauty and the Beast show. They met in 1992 and became very close. They got
engaged and married in 2001.
