THE NATURAL SINGER

Brian Thomas Littrell was born on Febuary 20th, 1975 in Lexington, Kentucky. Brian, unlike the rest of the Backstreet Boys, has never had a singing lesson. He's a natural at singing. He's been singing since he could walk. He grew up singing in the baptist church he attended.

BATTLE WITH DEATH

Brian was burn with a heart murmur (a whole in his heart) but him and his family didn't know until he was five years old. One day he was riding my Big Wheel down the street and he hit this curb and kind of flipped over and skinned his knee. That's where the infection set in, (but no-one knew it at the time.) When I got my Big Wheel home, I got a cookie and a kiss from his mom and he was fine. Then about two weeks later he had an accident over at his grandfather's house: He slipped and fell on the concrete and knocked his head really well, so his mom was worried about him having a concussion. That's when they took him to the hospital. It was a miricle that he has his accident so they could discover he had a staph infection. He was a healthy healthy 5-year-old. Without him having his little accident he could have died. At one point he spent 2 months in the hospital. The doctors told him that it was very bad and to not be afraid of dying (which, in my opinion, is a very frightning thing to hear if you're just 5). Brian had a tempature of 107, which can leave someone with brain damage. Doctors were so desperate to lower his tempature that they put him in a bath of ice with just his underware on, then put him back in bed without any covers. At one point his heart stopped. It took doctors 20 seconds to start his heart again. His desease was fatal and he had zero chance of living. The doctors actually told his mom and dad to go on and make the funeral arangements be he was going to pass on. They asked for help from the family and thier church. Most importantly, they asked for help from God, because God is the only one that could keep Brian on Earth and alive. And by God's power, and God's power alone, Brian started to get better, slowly, but surely. His mom was told that if he did leave the hospital and get better, he wouldn't be able to do anything but Brian didn't really seem to care. Soon after he got out of the hospital he regained his full strength and did what he was doing before he went into the hospital. When he was older he he started doing extra curricular activities. But his parrents were being pertective of him, because of his weak heart. They didn't let him do anything anything that had a lot of cardiovascular activities. His first love in sports was soccor, but his parents, because of all the running, they didn't let him play in a league. So he soon picked up basketball (but I thought basketball had alot of running in it also). Later, his parents decided to let him do what he wanted to do. He'd go back to the University of Kuntucky Medical Center for check ups, they'd perform EKGs and CAT skans. Each year they'd say the hole is getting smaller. Today, we thank God, or Brian's gardian angel for sparing his life and keeping Brian on Earth. Of course, this is not the only time Brian has had a heart problem. They had to stop one of thier tours so that Brian could have heart surgery. In order to read more on that read
the Backstreet Story.

THE FAMILY MAN

Brian was voted the person in the Backstreet Boys to marry first, actually it was a toss up between him and his cousin Kevin (of course, we now know which one married first). Leighanne Wallace was in the Backstreet Boys' music videos for "As Long As You Love Me" and "I'll Never Break Your Heart" which is how Brian and Leighanne met. They got married on September 2nd, 2000.

On Tuesday, November 26th, 2002 at 7:41 p.m. ET in Atlanta, GA Leighanne Littrell gave birth to Baylee Thomas Wylee Littrell, Brian and Leighanne's first child, but probably not thier last.
