| Biography: Audre Lorde was born in 1934 in New York City. She published her first volume of poetry, The First Cities in 1968, two years later publishing Cables to Rage, and published From A Land Where Other People Live in 1973. | On a night of the full moon I. Out of my flesh that hungers and my mouth that knows comes the shape I am seeking for reason. The curve of your body fits my waiting hand your flesh wasrm as sunlight your lips quick s young birds between your thighs the sweet sharp taste of limes.
