Zuul, Sanouske, and I started off on another Magic Kitty Adventure early one cloudy morning. Our goal on this particular adventure was twofold. I wished to find the path to the southern-most island in Batallia Downs and Sanouske wanted to ride the Barge in Carpenter's Landing, something he and Zuul had never done before.We took a picture at the top of one of the highest mounds in Batallia. We thought it the best place to begin our adventure since we would soon be plunging into the dangerous catacombs below our feet.
In the excitement and danger of making our way through the tombs of the dead, I forgot to take pictures of the journey. We slipped past many skeletons and dark elvaans in our hunt for the exit to the island of Batallia Downs. The part of our journey that I disliked the most was when we had to wade into a pile of bones and sink beneath them to enter the caverns below. The feeling of all those pieces of bone pressing against my skin and clattering against my armor still echos in my ears. At long last we found our way out of the tombs and onto the southern island. We were overjoyed with our success and immediately attacked a Walking Tree, which happened to be a Notorious Monster. To our delite, we were able to take down the tree and received a key from him. Later, we discovered this key was worth 10k to a man in Northern San d'Oria. After we defeated the Tree, we took our next picture, celebrating our victory over the grave and the tree.
From the island in Batallia Downs, we warped back to Jeuno and headed out for Jugner Forest. This time we took chocobos to the entrance just beyond the Outpost. On our way through the tunnels to reach the Barge, we stopped to discuss where we would like to go. I also had the unfortunate task of telling my fellow adventurers that I had to fulfill other obligations shortly. We agreed to take whatever barge arrived first in order that I would be able to ride as well.The boat took quite some time to arrive. After we tired of killing the strange creatures in the area, we sat quietly on the dock and talked. The barge arrived soon enough and we were able to ride down all the way to the very gates of San d'Oria. There I was forced to leave my companions, ending another Magic Kitty Adventure.
