| The Gamma Chi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at Mansfield University of PA was founded on October 6, 1968. It was installed by Cornell University. Our local mascot is the unicorn, coming from the prefix of unity and the Italian word "corno", meaning horns. Our advisors are Mr. Adam Brennan, Director of Bands and Percussion Studies, Dr. Rebecca Dodson-Webster, horn instructor and Dr. Susan Laib, double reeds instructor. |

| Our Mission Statement Everyone knows that Tau Beta Sigma's motto is "Tau Beta Sigma for greater bands". This motto is something that this chapter strives to abide by. We are here not only to serve the band, its director, and ultimately the department, but most importantly, the individual student. We support the musical achievements of the individual, regardless of whether or not they are sisters. Tau Beta Sigma promotes an appreciation for band music through service, recognition and leadership. |
