how to make homemade             skate wax
home
This is the way that I found works best
-get a non stick pan or some other non stick heatable container

-get a peice of candle wax(cheap or expensive, up to you but i found the aromatherapy ones work best) and any old skate wax you might have laying around.

-get anything else slippery like soap, lard, butter, ect.(exept oil, this will not mix with the wax

-if you want to color your wax get some crayons too

-get a cheese grater and shred the wax(this will make the cooking time shorter)and put it into the pan

-heat the pan on a stove until it melts and then mix it in until it is nice

-pour the melted wax into a container(make shure its not plastic or it will melt)and put in freezer over night(and get creative here...I have seen every thing from skull to a butt shaped wax

-after it cools wax that rail or ledge up!

                                                  ----TIPS---
-spay the coping with deoterant,i do not prefer it, but i wont stop you

-add butter and crisco to the wax

-silicone spray works good on rails but not on curbs(they would have silicone spray at the hardware store

-when freezing the wax put salt on it, it will freeze even more

-use glow in the dark crayons in your wax to skate all night

-if theres a crack in the curb get your wax and lighter out and patch the hole up

-WARNING!!! Ive heard that if you use deoterant or soap in your wax it will smoke and bubble up while cooking so be cautious

-use a big pot and fill it with water and then put a smaller pot inside to melt the wax if your stoves not melting it

-some good containers for putting the wax in the freezer are a coke can(with the top cut off)a milk carton,a old glass cup,or a mug...but be creative!

-try vasiline in your wax

-try putting some veggie oil on before you wax the ledge or curb...but i would not reccomed this for a rail

-try gel in the wax...i know it sounds strange but it works

-try pariffin wax in it....it is at the greocery store usually

-try chapstick or if you live by some surfers get some sex wax(and no its a surfing wax not used for sex)

-get a good thick layer on the curb er ledge so you wont have to wax it up for a while...but put a VERY thin layer on a rail...or you will regret it
