| 1. Spread your newspaper. (perfered to be outside) 2. Clean your pinecone by brushing off stuff stuck to it. DO NOT WASH @__@ it doesn't have to be super clean.just make sure it's not super dirty 3. cover your mouth and nose and spray paint your pine cone (adult supervision) try not to inhale spray paint or get it all over the place X__x 4. let it dry (read spray paint lable to see how long it take to dry) 5. take some glue and glue some beads on each "branch" of the pine cone. 6. spread some more glue and sprinkle glitter 7. let dry now you should have a beautiful christmas tree ;] |
| Egg buddies very adoreable! the egg shell will serve as the "pot" where grass is going to grow. The egg is suppose to be the face and the grass the hair. material -eggs (with yoke and white removed but shell still somewhat whole.. instructions below) -grass seed -potting soil -markers, paint, glitter, etc preparing the shell 1. To remove the egg interior without cracking the egg in halfs pretty simple. wash your hands and egg before you start. First break a hole about the side of a quarter on the smaller end of the end by using something like a chopstick or whatever can break open a egg without total deestruction. 2. remove the egg yoke and white (if you want you can scramble it and eat it if you want, just make sure you don't contaminate the eatable stuff when breaking the egg) 3. when all stuff inside is removed, rise the inside of the egg so it's clean 4. Now you can SLOWLYYYYYYYY work on the opening of the egg byt GENTLELYYYYYYY breaking off the shell little by little until you get the opening to a diameter of about 1 to 1.5 inches depending on the side of your egg. try not to make it larger than 1.5 inches. decorating! 1. dry the shell so it's no longer dripping with water 2. decorate it however you want! something i suggest is drawing a face since the grass will become the "hair" Planting 1. fill the egg with some potting soil and place a pinch of grass seeds in it.. cover the seeds with another pinch of soil. Try not to fill the egg with soil all the way to the top, leave some space from the top of soil to the top of egg. 2. water your egg, place it somewhere where it won't roll around, and wait for that hair to grow! 3.something i suggest is putting a small hole on the bottom of the egg to allow water drainage. This is better for the grass since too much water can drown it. But the downside is the drainage itself. if you DO make a hole on the botton of the egg, make sure you have something under the egg so the draining water does not drip everywhere. |
