Although many simularities can be drawn between the two, Faith - Based Mediation IS NOT the same process as therapy. While our Mediators work to bring about a measure of healing and wholeness into broken relationships, once conflict resolution has been reached, all parties are strongly advised to follow up their sessions with their pastor, designated ministerial staff, of other theraputic professional. The Mediators of MustardSeed Dispute Resolution Services work as part of an overall healing process, reassuring those who have or are currently involved in disputes of God's continuing love and mercy. A peacefull resolution to conflict is the goal of our Mediators, who will work with all parties to ascertain if counseling will be benificial to this process.
IS FAITH - BASED MEDIATION THE SAME PROCESS AS THERAPY?
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES WOULD THESE SERVICES BE MOST EFFECTIVE?
The services provided by our trained staff are designed for use by anyone seeking to resolve a dispute or conflict in that is both affirming and amicable to all involved. Our state - certified Mediators are dedicated to applying Christian principles to the resolution of conflict, seeking peaceful and respectful discourse between all parties while working towards an end all can agree with. This philosophy makes us uniquely qualified to assist those seeking family mediation - families members (in disputes arising between siblings, parents & children, etc) and others who do not wish to allow disputes to undermine their relationships between each other. In these cases, the spritual guidance provided by our Mediators can often lead to solutions among family members without alienating one side or the other.
WHY DOES THE CONCEPT OF FAITH - BASED MEDIATION WORK?
Faith - Based Mediation works because it helps the participants in a dispute understand each others' feelings and beliefs. It is a cooperative process, with all parties mutually searching for the best possible resolution to resolve the conflict. Our Mediators work to break complex issues down to component parts that provide insight to the needs of all parties and provide a starting poing from which to start towards resolution. Finally, our philosophy of Christian - based spiritual conflict resolution works because it acknowledges that most parties do not want to stay involved in disputes longer than neccessary. We seek to allow all parties a method upon which they can agree and allow them to move on.
