Faith - Based Mediation provides the concerned parties with resolutions to disputes that are both mutually agreeable and legally binding. The staff of MustardSeed Dispute Resolution Services is bound by a code of ethics which mandates that our Mediator cannot identify parties seeking our services nor any the issues discussed between the concerned parties during our sessions. Our services are completely confidential.
Mediation works because the process is cooperative, allowing the involved parties to seek resolutions that are agreeable to all concerned. Our Mediators will encourage participants to works towards an mutually amicable resolution as soon as is possible. Therefore, in cases where mediation has been ordered by a court of law, a written letter of agreement, in which both parties (and their lawyers as necessary) will agree to meet with a Mediator, will be submitted by the Mediator for the perusal of all parties involved. If and when an agreement has been reached, a letter specifying the terms of the agreement will be filed with the Court by the attorneys.
In cases where mediation is the result of referral through a pastor, counselor, minesterial staff, etc our Mediators will provide written notice to the referrer if and when an agreement has been reach by the involved parties. An outline detailing the points of the agreement will be prepared for the referrer's files. In all cases the parties concerned will be given letters of agreement lising the agreed upon terms. Unlike the sometimes costly and tedious process of litigation, however, a letter of agreement can be changed or modified as long as both parties agree that the original terms of the agreement are no longer satisfactory.
The MustardSeed Mediators will encourage all parties to follow up all sessions with their referring pastor or ministerial personnel. These services are an inportant part of the overall healing process, providing the opportunity for former disputants to determine if a need for counselling or a support group might be benificial. As a part of this process, our staff will work to reassure all parties of the undying love, forgiveness, and mercy that is God and seek to promote a resolution that will allow the parties to continue in a relationship in the Body of Christ. |
