COACHES
WILL ALLEN - Head Coach
Coach Will Allen has been coaching at Mustang Schools for
eighteen years. He is a 1977 graduate of Mustang High School and a state
runner-up. He attended Central State University where he met his wife Tammy and
was a 2X All-American and part of the 2X National Champion Broncos . He coached junior high wrestling for the first 10 years where he compiled a record of 110 wins and only 42 losses. Coach Allen was named Junior High Coach of the Year in 1994 for guiding his team to the state title.
In 1991, Coach Allen became the high school assistant wrestling coach. In 1995 he was named the Oklahoma Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. One of his
philosophies in wrestling and life is: Everyday you are preparing for your ultimate goal. How are you doing today?
DANNY BROWN - Asst Coach
Coach Danny Brown is in his sixth year of coaching at Mustang . He spent the first four years at Mustang North Jr. High. His previous experience included three years with the 12X National Championship Oklahoma City Athletic Club Freestyle Wrestling Team. He also helped the Miami Jr High and High School wrestling teams as well as the Mustang Kids wrestling program.
Danny was a graduate from Mustang High School in 1989 where he was a 3x state placer and an all-stater in wrestling his senior year. After graduation Danny wrestled for two years at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where he attained all-American honors in 1991 by placing third at the national tournament. His final two years of wrestling was spent at the University of Central Oklahoma where UCO won back to back national championships in 1992 and 1993 and he received his degree in education. He and his wife, Mustang graduate Shannon (McCormack), have one son, Garrison 4 yrs old and one daughter, Chandler 20 months old.
