* This car was sold in October of 2000. *

Mstang_LSide3_sm.jpg - 11229 BytesI have had this GT for just about 3 years.  The only modifications are 3.73 gears with Flowmasters (2 chamber).  It dyno'd at 193.5 at the back making about 236 bhp.  Torque was 259.5 at the rubber yielding around 316 ft lbs at the flywheel.  Not bad for a relatively stock car.  Stock numbers for the 93 5.0L that I  have seen are  listed at 215 bhp and 300 ft lbs of torque.

Left Side..The colors are teal and titanium, only produced in the 1993 production year.

Right Side...In some of the photos you can see I painted the break drums and calipers Daytona Yellow.

Mstang_LSide2_sm.jpg - 9495 BytesWindow tinting is mandatory!!!

Mstang_engine1_sm.jpg - 20481 BytesJust like Ford made it.  Here is an unmodified 5.0L fuel injected V8.  Big change listed for the the 93 year was the move to hyperetonic pistons from forged.  Certainly not a helpful move if you want to run a huffer or run the laughing gas.

Inside...Got your standard grey cloth interior here.  Can't really see the five speed.

 Comments

This is my Critic's Corner.  I comment about the likes and dis-likes of this production year of Mustang and any mods I added.

Likes  :

    The 93 Production Year Mustang:
        * See notes for 92 GT for a more complete list.
        * Great color scheme
        * Like the addition of the power seat.

    Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers
        * Love the sound out of these, but on occasion you do notice that 2000 RPM "hum of death" on long trips.

Dis-likes :

.    The 93 Production Year Mustang:
        * See notes for 92 GT for a more complete list.
        * The move to hyperetonic pistons stinks.  This eliminates the insurance we would like to have when running a huffer or nitrous on a stock engine
(as is commonly done).  Ford continues to use these pistons on Mustangs, even on the high end Cobra models.
