Flying Into The Belly Of The Beast
That brilliant sunlit morning The sun illuminated the towering buildings in the distance. We watched the city turn to gold. In the saddle of the flame-shot steed we roared through the canyons of concrete The exhilaration and fear were almost too much for me to bear! The wind rushed past our ears and numbed our fingers Into the belly of the beast we rode. Weaving though the hulks as they slowly made their way Through the streets that were still shrouded in morning shadows, we gained a measure of superiority, No one could stand in our way. Rounding a corner, there it was. The heartbeat, it shown brightly even as the sun tried to compete. Blinding in the early glare of day, it enraptured me. Then, all to soon, we raced back across the bridge toward home Though our journey was brief, The pictures in my mind are forever. Thank you.
We Danced
We danced Magic was in the air Your gaze reached inside of me Seeking to find that secret place We danced Entranced by what we felt and saw The pounding of my heart Could you feel it as I felt yours? We danced Our eyes full of desire I wanted to feel your lips on mine Our faces only inches away We danced Locked in a moving embrace The world shrank I was lost and yet found We danced Oblivious to all but each other
To A Wild Moon Child
Exotic, erotic and dark. You burn with an intensity that hides a private heart. You are brilliant beyond measure, searching for unknowable words to explain your thoughts and justify your world You seem to be the quintessential bad boy, surviving in a city that would eat you alive if you showed weakness. But there is some softness, it leaks out around the edges. I saw it in brief glimpses. Looking into your dark eyes in the dusky light of early morning. It was there. It makes you unattainable, yet desirable and intriguing. I am glad we were not lovers, my friend, though I think some of our talks were intimate. Perhaps I would not have carried this feeling with me if we had crossed over that sexual boundary I believe that no woman lives that is able to fulfill all of those fantasies we discussed. Because once you know you can have her, she ceases to exist. As for me, an odd mixture of a brave wanton woman and a timid child, I am still nave to the many dark pleasures that I glimpsed and cannot comprehend. The gift you gave to me one long, dark night, to satisfy my curiosity was a great one. For that I am thankful. You led me by the hand to a dark and dangerous place, where dreams come true. Then let me safely escape back to reality with nary a scratch, only a memory of lust and heat and wild abandon. I wish you luck, my friend, as you live your dreams. Take care not to let the power of destructive candy warp your soul. Keep me in your thoughts and bring my smile to your mind when you wish. For you will always be special to me for offering me the experiences that you did.
