Mike is 23 years old. He grew up in Winchester, Ohio and graduated from West Union High School and the Ohio Valley Vocational School in 1999. He went to Hocking College and graduated in 2002 from the National Ranger Institute. He is working for Klekamp Construction in Cincy and for the Adams County Sheriff's Dept. as a Special Deputy.
It all started in September 2001 at Hocking. We met through mutual friends one night. We became good friends and we hung out quite a bit. Everyone knew how Mike felt about me but I was blind and wouldn't open my eyes to see what a great and caring guy he is. We continued to be good friends and continued to tell me how he felt about me. He finally got through to me and since December 5, 2001 we have been together!
Our Engagement
On Friday December 3, 2004 we went out to eat for our three year anniversary. When we got back we exchanged our gifts. He went over to our Christmas tree to plug the lights in and he picked up a small package and told me he was going to open it. I thought it was a gift for him from me for Christmas so I started yelling at him to put it down. He gave it to me and told me it was just one more anniversary gift. So I opened it. I thought it was just going to be a pair of earrings or something like that until I saw the small wooden box. Inside was a beautiful engagement ring! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! Our wedding will be September 3, 2005!
