Nutrition
           Nutrition is generally good among most school-age children but the prevalent problems are overeating, causing obesity and overweight, anorexia nervosa and bulemia, poor food choices that have can include excess fat and salt consumption, and under nutrition hunger.  Obesity can lead to hypertension, diabetes, increased cholesterol levels and reduced life expectancy.  Similar to dental health, good habits must be formed early in life. 

          Along with eating the right foods and exercising, water intake is vitally important.  A person should drink AT LEAST 8 - 8 oz. glasses of water PER DAY. 

          Below, is a picture of the standard food pyramid.  It shows the various food groups and the recommended amount we should consume each day.  Following these suggestions can help improve nutritional habits.
